Webinar | Assessing Maximum Speed in Power & Strength-Based Sports with Plantar Pressure Mapping Insoles

In XSENSOR Technology's third webinar in the 'Running Mechanics' series, we explore how to use plantar pressure mapping, like XSENSOR's Intelligent Insoles, to measure and assess maximum speed in power and strength-based sports.

Maximum speed is the highest velocity an athlete can achieve during sprinting. It is related to an athlete's ability to apply higher levels of force into the ground. Maximum speed abilities rely heavily on neuromuscular efficiency in both vertical and horizontal applications of force.

Using plantar pressure mapping technology allows coaches and biomechanics professionals to test the efficacy of force application into the ground and how the function of the foot/ankle complex can handle, manage, and transmit the force generated by the lower limb muscles.

本次网络研讨会的关键要点:

  1. Learn – What maximum speed characteristics are regarding kinetics and kinematics and how they relate to sports performance.
  2. Understand – How plantar pressure mapping can assist coaches and biomechanics professionals in evaluating the efficacy of the maximum speed phase in individual and team-based athletes.
  3. Experience – Using plantar pressure mapping on the field to assess maximum speed through different tests.
